Newport Beach, California — May 26, 2026 — Leonhardt Ventures LLC and Lionheart Health, Inc. today announced receipt of a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for pioneering patent claims covering the bioelectric control of Sirtuin 6 (SIRT6) protein expression using precisely controlled electrical stimulation signals.
The allowed claims cover methods of increasing SIRT6 expression in skeletal muscle tissue through specific bioelectric stimulation parameters, including biphasic pulsed electrical signals delivered at defined frequencies, pulse widths, current amplitudes, and treatment durations.
Sirtuins are among the most studied longevity-associated protein families in the world. SIRT proteins regulate critical biological functions including mitochondrial health, inflammation control, DNA repair, oxidative stress response, metabolism, vascular function, neuroprotection, muscle maintenance, and cellular resilience associated with healthy aging.
The newly allowed patent claims include applications for:
• Muscle preservation and regeneration
• Age-related muscle degeneration
• Cachexia and frailty
• Exercise enhancement and muscle performance
• Bioelectric modulation of SIRT6 signaling pathways
Additional continuation filings are planned for orthopedic regeneration, osteoarthritis, oral tissue regeneration, vascular rejuvenation, erectile dysfunction, implanted stimulation systems, and combined bioelectric-cellular regenerative therapies.
“This patent allowance represents an important milestone in our mission to develop bioelectric technologies capable of activating the body’s own regenerative and longevity pathways,” stated Howard J. Leonhardt. “Sirtuins are widely recognized as master regulators of healthy aging. The ability to safely and non-invasively increase SIRT6 expression using targeted bioelectric stimulation could have profound implications for healthspan, physical function, recovery, and regenerative medicine.”
Unlike traditional pharmaceutical approaches attempting to chemically activate longevity pathways, the Leonhardt-Lionheart platform focuses on using bioelectric signaling to influence protein expression directly within target tissues.
The patent strengthens the company’s broader intellectual property estate surrounding bioelectric controlled expression of regenerative proteins including Klotho, SDF1, PDGF, IGF1, Tropoelastin, Follistatin, BDNF, GDF10 and other healing and restorative pathways.
According to preclinical findings referenced in the allowed claims, specific stimulation protocols demonstrated substantial increases in SIRT6 expression in treated skeletal muscle cells.
• BodStim™ for muscle performance and healthy aging
• OrthoStim™ for orthopedic, bone regeneration and osteoarthritis applications
• ErectiStim™ for vascular and sexual health
• OrthodontiCell™ for oral tissue regeneration
• ImplantStim™ implant healing
“SIRT proteins have long been considered one of the central biological control systems involved in aging and resilience,” stated Leslie Miller. “This patent positions Lionheart Health among the leaders developing practical technologies designed to enhance regenerative biology and potentially improve human healthspan.”
