Materials & Ingredients

PowerHeal™ is a polyester bioelectric bandage with embedded microcell batteries made of elemental silver and elemental zinc. In the presence of moisture, PowerHeal™’s batteries create electricity designed to boost the electrical energy your skin naturally creates and uses in the healing process. It also effectively kills up to 99.99%* of bacteria at the wound surface.

Energel® ingredients include reverse-osmosis water, polymer, humectant, preservatives (methylparaben, propylparaben). Used to cover a wound to protect against abrasion, friction, drying out, and contamination. It can also be used to activate PowerHeal™ products.

Indications & Instructions

PowerHeal™ Technology has both prescription and over-the-counter indications; the prescription indications are broader than the OTC, but the technology is the same. See the following PowerHeal™ Indications for Use:

- Over-the-counter Use: PowerHeal™ Antibacterial Bandages are available over-the-counter for use on a variety of wounds including minor cuts, scrapes, irritations, abrasions, blisters, and more. They provide a moist wound environment and reduce infection risk by killing bacteria.

- Prescription Use: PowerHeal™ Antibacterial Bandages are available by order of a physician use for a variety of partial and full thickness wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, surgical incisions, and donor and recipient graft sites. They provide a moist wound environment and reduce infection risk by killing bacteria.
